Eligibility & Application

In order for students to participate in the SSS STEM Program at the UL Lafayette, they must meet eligibility criteria. In order to receive services, a student must be:

  • A US Citizen or a national, permanent resident or have INS documentation
  • Enrolled in a UL Lafayette undergraduate program pursuing their first baccalaureate degree in a STEM related program

In addition, students must be one of the following:

  • A "first generation" college student (NEITHER of their parents has a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree)

            AND/OR

  • Eligible for or are receiving need-based financial aid for the student’s education and/or meet the federal government's guidelines for low income individuals/families 

Program information is available in the SSS STEM office, located in DeClouet Hall, room 106-L.
